This Soldier

These are the words to the poem on the picture.

For all the free people that still protest, you're welcome.
We protect you, and you're protected by the best.
Your voice is strong and loud, but who will fight for you?
No one standing in your croud.
We are your fathers, brothers, and sons.
Wearing the boots and carrying the guns.
We are the ones that leave all we own,
To make sure your future is carved in stone.
We are the ones who fight and die.
We may not be able to save the world, well atleast we try.
We walked the paths to where we are at,
And we want no choice other than that.
So when you rally your group to complain,
Take a look in the back of your brain.
In order for that flag you love to fly,
Wars must be faught and young men must die.
We came here to fight for the ones we hold dear,
If that's not respected, we would rather stay here.
So please stop yelling and put down your signs,
And pray for those behind enemy lines.
When the conflict is over and all is well,
Be thankful that we chose to go through hell.

A/N: These song lyrics say it all. There's nothing else that can be said. Read carefully.

I'll make a soldiers decision to fly away
Load my gun, paint my face, call me misery
I can see the sky light up and the ground explode
Got my sights locked in I can see you breathe
Then I watched you fall and somebody scream
Its the saddest thing when angels fly away

I cant be home tonight,
I'll make it back its alright
No one could ever love me
half as good as you

Got a badge for my scars just the other day
Wore it proud for the sake of my sanity
I could see the flames burn bright from the winding road
Like a haunting page from our history
Watched a young girl cry and her mother scream
Its the saddest thing when angels fly away

I cant be home tonight,
I'll make it back its alright
No one could ever love me half as good as you
You cant be strong tonight,
love makes you sad its alright
No one could ever worry half as good as you

Always Broken

Something is always going to be broken. No matter what it is. When something fixes or heals another something falls apart or breaks. ~PTODE (private-thinking-one-day expressed)

The world is made of links and chains. They bind together to create a bond. The links between people, on a necklace chain; you find them everywhere when you decide to look. But the sad thing is, is it always breaks. Sure they can be mended but they will always break.
Sometimes the strongest link of the chain is really the weakest and first to break. Other times the weakest and roughest and oldest link in the chain is the strongest and is the last link to break.
Sometimes the chain withers or rusts or just fades away. It is forgotten about until the last minute when you realize it isnt there.
Have you ever been wearing a necklace and forget it's there until you remember at the last moment of the day and it isnt there?
It's the worst feeling. Knowing you had something there and becoming so comfortable with it that you forget it was ever there in the first place and then at the last minute you remember and reach for it and it's disapeared into thin air and never to be found again.

Everything breaks because everything is made of links, connections, bonds, ....chains.
